This image of a shell and rocks shows texture, form, and shape. The shell's edges have a ridge texture and give the shape form. The grainy texture of the surface the rocks lay on and the rocks themselves give the viewer an idea of the physical texture they have.
This image of miniature plant pots shows the elements of size, shadow, texture and form. The texture of the moss growing on the pots and the leaves growing over them give the viewer a perspective of how small they are. The form of the pots is visible in the shadow on the backs and bottoms.
This photo of string lights in some leaves shows color and depth. The blurred string lights going into the background show that there are levels in the distance from the first red light. The green of the leaves and the color of the lights show bright colors.
For this assignment, the video was very helpful because it showed how a professional photographer went about capturing each element individually. Of my photographs, I am most happy with the one of the red plant pots because the colors create a nice contrast and the composition works very well. I think I could improve most on the photo with the shell because it came out a little grainy and not as clear.
